Tahoe Event Center - Lake Tahoe Wedding | Hina and Troy

Hina and Troy are some of the most generous and hospitable humans. In their everyday lives, a lot of intent and effort go into planning dinners and events to keep their chosen family united (I know this because I follow Hina and love to be inspired by her hosting). Anyway, it’s no surprise that their wedding catered to making it a memorable weekend for their friends and family. It was a great reminder of the importance of relationships and connection in their lives.

I 10/10 recommend going to one of Hina and Troy’s parties. Enjoy a peek of the biggest party they’ve ever hosted ;)

Hina and Troy's goal for the wedding weekend was to bring all the people they love together in one space, create memories, and let everyone learn more about a larger community they are a part of in their hearts. With that intent at its core they reserved all of Mourelatos Lakeshore resort where they hosted events throughout the weekend.

“…her resilience, her loyalty, the way she makes me feel so incredibly loved. We’ve carried each other through so many adventures, self-realizations, new love and bitter loss. Throughout it all, our constant has been to draw each other closer with a promise to embrace the next stage together, whatever it may bring.” -Troy

“I learned a lot about Troy on that first date, but I distinctly remember being drawn to his unwavering commitment to his friends and family, and his relentless curiosity for ways to improve the world. I'll admit I was also pleased to find his boyish charm had only grown since we first met. Soon after, I showed Troy's picture to my mom. She went, "Wow, he looks like a prince". I agreed.” - Hina

“The main thing we were looking for in our wedding location was where there was a space that people would be excited to come visit…”

“When my mother learned she was sick, she bought the dress she intended to wear to our wedding as a motivation. We’ve held on to this after her passing.”

A letter from Hina’s mom was read during toasts, and it was so incredibly special. The love that permeated the room was palpable

“The dance floor is our big event. We held back on our budget for the decor with the intent of going BIG on the dance floor. Our splurge for the wedding was getting a 10 piece band (including horns, which we love) to make sure everyone of all ages gets out on the dance floor to some classic songs. We've had some major dance floors at our parties at our house in the past wanted to make sure this was the best one yet. We're also musicians ourselves, so having a dance floor focused on the live band felt very reflective of our lifestyle and the things we value.”

“Our hope was that everyone walked away thinking that was the "best dance floor ever" and we got that feedback a lot! Our friends to this day still practice / dance to some of the dance moves from the band.”

“We love to throw parties. Hosting is a huge part of who we are as a couple, and we get a ton of happiness out of providing others with a good time. We host our community's annual halloween party, 4th of july bbq, secret santa, or will often even make up occasions to celebrate. You could say we've prepared for this moment our entire relationship/lives! So more than anything, our ideal wedding is one where everyone is having the time of their lives.”
