Lake Tahoe Proposal at Edgewood

Matt wanted to propose at Edgewood and have a beautiful set-up on the beach for Krista. They gave him special permission and the planning began! Edgewood snuck in a flyer in their welcome package when they checked in, to make her think that they were doing complimentary shoots at the resort. Long story short, they "reserved" the 4 pm slot, and it all worked out as planned! However, Krista still knew what was happening…

”I wanted everything to run smoothly and wanted her to be completely surprised. Turns out, she definitely knew it was about to happen but played along anyways. She hates surprises so it ended up working out for the best :)”-M

Matt sent a photo of his arch inspiration, and I knew Yeliz would be the gal for this. I sent like two examples to her and let her run with it. As usual, she did not disappoint. The arch was put together by The Hytch.

A little about M&K:

“We were best friends for years before we started dating, we both were collegiate athletes and both have a BIG sweet tooth! Dessert before dinner anyone?”

How They Met

“At the beach when we were 14 years old through mutual friends. Neither of us made great first impressions and can't say it was love at first sight but it allowed us to build a strong friendship and foundation first and eventually turned into LOVE! It was always meant to be!“

Future goals include:

“Plan a wedding, buy a house with a big yard, get a Bernese Mountain Dog.”

They also shared a tip for couples planning their wedding, that I think is very helpful:

“I don't know if this is obvious but I started created my guest list before searching for venues. Since I have a really good idea of how many people are going to attend, it's helped me narrow down which venues can fit my party size and is also helping me stay within budget.”
