Olympic Village Event Center Wedding | Stephanie & John
There’s something undeniably magical about weddings at Palisades Tahoe. Even more so when there’s a chance of rain. The colors deepen, the air softens, and everything feels a little more cinematic.
“a little rain never hurt anyone” - Stephanie
In fact, it added even more dimension to the day. Watching everyone embrace the weather with zero hesitation was such a treat. They did all of their portraits outside, drizzle and all, and this is what that looked like…
One of my favorite moments at every wedding is seeing the couple surrounded by their favorite people on the dance floor. This is what it’s all about.
John’s favorite moment came just before the ceremony, during their private first look in the meadow.
“With the chaos of the day, it was nice to be alone with my best friends and future wife” - John
“It felt like I was watching a scene from a movie—one I’d never forget” - Stephanie
Stephanie and John’s story began years ago as friends, eventually turning into a love that spanned cities, emails, and even airport goodbyes (and one romantic turnaround that changed everything!).
“Stephanie actually asked John to be her boyfriend after turning around at her gate in the Seattle airport. She was about to board her flight home when she realized she absolutely did not want to leave—and went back to his house instead.”
Now, they’re looking ahead to a month-long European honeymoon in 2026. Starting in the Dolomites, and dreaming of someday owning a cozy neighbourhood cafe together.
“You can plan every detail, but it means nothing without the people who show up.”
