di Rosa Center Wedding | Jack and Juliet

Juliet and Jack’s wedding weekend didn’t follow a script (well, we did have a great timeline, thank you Planner: A Savvy Event (Kimberly Rosen), but it moved like pure momentum. Just so much life and heart.

Pretty sure I clocked a full marathon trying to keep up with them during the welcome party and wedding day ;)

It’s rare to see couples toss tradition and truly live in the moment, and I really mean that. Weddings are a full-on production. You’re hosting the biggest party of your life, so it’s natural to dip in and out of the experience.

But somehow, these two stayed completely present through it all. It was magic to witness.

From the start, Juliet and Jack knew they wanted a wedding that felt more like a celebration with all their favorite people than a traditional affair. Think backyard BBQ meets wine country magic with citrusy details, big laughs, and a whole lot of heart. Set against the laid-back beauty of Napa’s Di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art, their day was equal parts relaxed, stylish, and full of good vibes from beginning to end.

Juliet and Jack’s love story started thanks to their mutual friend Rachel, one of Juliet’s college roommates and a childhood friend of Jack’s. Juliet had just returned from a year of traveling and was crashing with Rachel in San Diego for a friend’s wedding. Jack happened to be in town for another wedding that same weekend, and fate did its thing. Despite Juliet being jet-lagged from 20+ hours of travel, they hit it off right away. After a few more months abroad and a casual reconnection at a birthday party in San Francisco, the spark never left.

Fast forward to Jack’s birthday weekend in Healdsburg—though it turned out to be a much bigger moment than Juliet anticipated. She had planned the trip as a birthday getaway, but Jack had other plans. During a wine tasting at Reeve, a winery they'd grown to love during the pandemic, Jack popped the question in the most relaxed, off-the-radar way, with a sweetly awkward video taken by the clueless wine pourer. Juliet, mid-photo discomfort and ready to grab their dog, said yes in the most perfect kind of imperfect moment.

When it came to their wedding day, Juliet and Jack were all about creating a celebration that felt like them. Their vision? An elevated backyard BBQ—laid-back, full of life, and surrounded by good food and even better company. They wanted a big Napa celebration that skipped the stuffiness, and when they found Di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art, they knew it was the one.

Set on 200 acres of vineyards, oak trees, and sculpture-dotted trails, Di Rosa gave them the scenery and soul without the overly polished “wedding” feel. The venue's balance of nature and creativity felt like the perfect canvas for a fun, unfussy day.

Design-wise, they leaned into rustic charm with farm-to-table vibes—think tri-tip on the grill, buckets of beer, and fresh citrus centerpieces woven through the tablescapes. It was elegant without trying too hard, filled with thoughtful touches that reflected their roots and their people (and a packed dance floor that brought the house down).

One thing was clear throughout the day— Juliet and Jack cared most about the energy. The real moments. The hugs, the belly laughs, the unfiltered joy of having all their favorite people in one place. It wasn’t about picture-perfect poses, it was about capturing the true spirit of the celebration.

And they did just that.
