Twenty Mile House Wedding | Lake Tahoe Wedding Photographer

“To all of our family and friends from near and far, we want to thank you for making our wedding weekend the greatest memory for us. Each of you has held such an important role in our lives, either as individuals or as a couple, and we are happy to have shared these days with you and look forward to you being a part of our future. For each and every of the smile, happy tear, hug, heartfelt word, and AMAZING dance move, we are eternally grateful. We are also so excited to have these photos as timeless keepsakes, our special 'remember when's', so we can go back in time and experience the most perfect day. Thank you, Elsa and team, for capturing these oh-so-good memories!”

Special thanks to Kylie (Lead Shooter for this wedding) and Jessica (Second Shooter) for documenting Irene and Karl’s day perfectly. It was a dream team! If I’m not available to document your wedding day, make sure to ask about having another photographer take over. I mean…look at these photos (insert all the heart eyes possible). Thanks Irene and Karl for trusting me during this process. YOU TWO ROCK. Hope our paths cross again :)

Enjoy a peak of their BEST DAY EVER

First Look Vibes

Few fun facts about Irene + Karl:

  • We moved in together within three days of knowing each other

  • We get AARP cards in the mail at least once a month (Karl & Irene, no explanation needed)

  • We love any crime documentary...oh and, "90 Day Fiancé"

  • We love home improvement projects and think of a new one every month

  • Pho restaurants in town know KC as "the lime guy" and he has to go at least 1x a week; We love a good country concert (yee-haw!)

“One of our favorite moments from the wedding was the ceremony. We had a little bit of rain, which was no big deal (rain's good luck, right?), but right when I was going to walk down the aisle with my dad...the most perfectly time train came through right behind the ceremony site. It honked as it passed and all of our guests cheered and laughed as it went by. It made the ceremony that much more special--such a joyful and unforgettable moment. Also, we took it as a sign from KC's grandmother that she was right there with us (she loved her trains!). Trains and rain for the win!!”

Advice to future couples planning a wedding: “Have fun and enjoy all the moments.....and know that it is going to be perfect, no matter what. When else are you going to be in the same place with all of your most favorite people!? Plus, it's pretty cool to marry your soul mate :)”

What does the future hold for Irene + Karl? “We like to keep it simple...so our goals are to laugh with each other every day, enjoy our dogs (eventually humans), and continue to fix up our house into our dream home. Oh, and travel more--preferably with a rad VW travel van that we have yet to buy!”

Another favorite moment from the wedding: “…how could we forget KC's dad making his guitar debut on the blow-up guitars at the ceremony…And lastly, the night ended with KC surprising me by asking the DJ to play a final song, "Goodnight, Irene." He grabbed my dad to dance with me as everyone made a circle around us swaying. It was the perfect ending to the night, as it is the song my dad would always sing to me every night when I was a little girl. Talk about all the feels! All in all, the day from beginning to end was absolute MAGIC!”

About their honeymoon: “We decided to head to Costa Rica after our wedding to relax and soak in that 'Pura Vida' lifestyle. We had such a fun vacation filled with fun ziplining, horseback riding, watching intense lightning storms, sailing, hanging with monkeys, eating ALL the foods, and soaking in the sun and ocean. I'd say it was the most perfect way to start our life together as husband and wife. We are REALLY good at honeymooning!”
