Stephanie & Nicholas | Rainbow Lodge Wedding
Stephanie and Nicholas’ wedding at Rainbow Lodge was the perfect mix of romance, celebration, and personality. Tucked into the Sierra Nevada mountains, Rainbow Lodge gave them the best of both worlds.
A stunning outdoor setting for their garden party–style ceremony and a lively indoor disco party vibe to keep the celebration going late into the night.
One of their favorite moments was their first dance. A highlight they had been looking forward to for months after taking dance lessons together. The anticipation, the music, and the joy of showing off their moves made it unforgettable. They also loved their private cake cutting, a sweet little pause to laugh, savor, and soak each other in before heading back to the party.
When it comes to wedding advice, they couldn’t emphasize this enough: be picky with your vendors. Every single one of theirs played a key role in making the day seamless, joyful, and everything they imagined. Their florist brought their Pinterest board to life, their planner Nikki kept the day stress-free, the DJ curated the perfect disco-inspired playlist that kept the dance floor packed until 1 AM, and of course, Rainbow Lodge gave them a stunning backdrop and the chance to spend time with loved ones all week long.
Their story began on Hinge just before the world shut down in 2020, and much of their early relationship was built during quarantine. Since then, their shared love of the outdoors has only grown. Camping, backpacking, and exploring new adventures together. Nicholas even hand-sewed the bow ties for himself, his dad, and his best man. A personal touch that made the day even more special.
The speeches throughout the day also stood out as incredibly moving. From heartfelt words during the ceremony to laughter-filled toasts at dinner, Stephanie and Nicholas felt surrounded by so much love and support.
After the wedding, they dove into not just one but two honeymoons! Part one was an adventurous backpacking trip through the Trinity Alps Wilderness, where they hiked 25 miles, camped under the stars, and swam in alpine lakes. They followed that with a stay at the Harbor House Inn in Mendocino, indulging in a two-Michelin-star, twelve-course dinner with incredible views of the coast.
Part two will take them to Italy this fall. Hiking the Dolomites, relaxing on the beaches of Puglia, and savoring their way through Florence and Tuscany.
“We loved getting to share a place that means so much to us with all our friends and family! So many traveled from across the country, and we felt so much love and support during our wedding week.”
Stephanie and Nicholas, let’s do it again??
