About their honeymoon and future travel plans:
“We went to Costa Rica and had an amazing time. We surfed, kayaked, zip-lined, and of course drank cocktails by the pool/beach. For our next trip (possibly the 1 year mark) we want to go to Croatia and Greece!”
A few fun facts about the couple:
“Shannon's favorite movie is Free Willy and she is still trying to learn the harmonica so she can befriend a whale.”
“When Derrick was four he knocked out his front tooth from dancing too hard at a wedding, luckily he kept all of his teeth this time.”
“Our favorite dessert is a two-way tie between tiramisu and frozen peanut butter cups.”
“Some of our future goals include: exploring more countries together, buying our first car, and developing the perfect SF tiki bar crawl.”
“Since we met working at a summer camp and our wedding was at Martis Camp, we wanted our wedding to incorporate some of our favorite aspects of summer camp: s'mores, games, and dancing. We wanted to give our families and friends an unforgettable experience in an unforgettable place.”
Advice to future couples planning a wedding:
“There can be a lot stress a few weeks before the wedding, but the day of, remember to let other people do the worrying for you. The energy you put out as a couple that day will be reciprocated by your guests aka if your having fun they are having fun :)”
