a fancy wildflower

If there’s one way to describe Alee and Jon’s wedding, it’s “fancy wildflower”… their words, and honestly, I couldn’t describe it more perfectly. It lived up to the name in every way…equal parts polished and free spirited. Elegant, playful, thoughtfully designed, and never once uptight. Alee and Jon drifted through the day with the kind of joy that made everything feel lighter. It was truly a treat to witness :)

“We booked our venue site unseen! When you choose Edgewood it’s not a gamble but most people would think that is crazy.”

Alee and Jon shared a private peek at their reception space before guests arrived, and this ended up being a favorite moment for them.

The rest of the night? Pure magic. The speeches had everyone laughing and crying, the dueling pianos got everybody on the dance floor, and their last dance to “Don’t Stop Believing” turned into a huge singalong surrounded by their favorite people.

Adventure is a big part of who they are, so it’s no surprise their honeymoon plans are equally epic. They’re choosing between an African safari or hiking through the Dolomites. My vote is for the safari ;)

Their advice to future couples?

Keep your wedding week relaxed. “We spent our days hiking, biking, and just enjoying Tahoe,” Alee shared.

“By the time our wedding came, we felt so calm and ready to take it all in.”
