Sand Harbor, Incline Village | Lake Tahoe Wedding Photographer

Yoan and Ron's engagement session was beautiful and well planned. Yoan and I had been in contact for weeks (maybe months?).  She traveled all the way from Indonesia and wanted to make sure this portion of her planning went smooth. Although she's traveled a lot, this was her first time in the United States. She had seen several images of Lake Tahoe from Instagram and thought it be an ideal spot for an engagement session. They have a couple more engagement sessions set-up and I'm honored to have documented one of their first stops before the big day!  Thanks again Instagram for connecting me with some pretty rad humans.

I instantly felt connected to these two. Their laid-back energy and willingness to climb tall boulders made for a good time. We started early (like sunrise early) in the morning so it was REALLY cold. We took a couple of breaks in between shots by running to the car and blasting the heater.

Yoan & Ron are both originally from Indonesia (Ron is currently based in LA). They were introduced to each other by a childhood friend of Yoan. They're tying the knot this year in Los Angeles, California. I have do doubt it will be an incredible day.

Yoan and I had bounced several ideas for their engagement session. Close contenders ended up being Truckee, Donner Lake, Fallen Leaf Lake, Eagle Falls, and Emerald Bay. We even discussed activities like a sleigh ride, a helicopter ride, or a scenic cruise on the lake. We opted for something simple and beautiful. Sand Harbor just worked well for their timeline and aesthetic. It had a little bit of everything.

Sand Harbor on the east shore of Lake Tahoe. It's a Nevada State Park located in Incline Village. It's well known for it's rock formation and the to-go spot to spend a relaxing beach day.  A lot of people also kayak and scuba dive there. The park hosts a Shakespeare Festival during summer. I've been wanting to attend one of the shows. Drop me a line-if you've gone. Would love to know how it is.

Once again- congratulations Yoan & Ron!
